What we do

We revamped YachtRental.my into a modern, mobile first site for the Malaysian yacht charter market. The work covered the design, the build, the writing and the on page SEO, and it runs to thirty pages: a page for each of the ten kinds of charter, a page for each of the twelve places they sail from, a page on the four types of vessel, and one enquiry form that appears on the home page and on a page of its own. The old approach of sending everybody into a chat window is gone. Somebody can now read about a sunset cruise out of Langkawi, see what the day involves, and send a dated enquiry without speaking to anybody first. The site is on a monthly plan with us, so new destinations and charter types are added as the business adds them.

Short description

YachtRental.my arranges private yacht charters across Malaysia. It is a booking and coordination service rather than a marina: they match the occasion to a suitable vessel and crew, handle the catering and the route, and hand over a confirmed day on the water. Charters run from four hours to three days and two nights, from marinas on both the west and the east coast.

Products and services

  • Dinner cruises A private restaurant afloat, with the coast drifting past.

  • Family charters Room for a group, and easy stops for swimming.
  • Corporate charters and events Team days, client entertaining and launches, hosted.
  • Honeymoon charters Privacy on the water, styled for honeymoons and anniversaries.
  • Couples charters Sailing for two, for proposals and quiet days out.

Full description

What makes the site work is that it never asks the visitor to guess. Every charter page follows the same shape: what the day is, what to expect, and a short panel of facts covering duration, who it suits and what is included. Every destination page does the same for a place, and links across to the other eleven, so somebody who arrived looking for Redang can find their way to Perhentian in one click.

There are no prices anywhere, and that is deliberate. A charter price moves with the boat, the date and the season, and a figure on a page that turns out to be wrong costs more than no figure at all. Instead the enquiry form asks the eleven things you need in order to quote properly: the date, the marina, the headcount, the hours, private or sharing, whether food is wanted aboard, and whether there is a budget in mind. An enquiry arrives ready to price rather than as a message asking how much a yacht costs.

They reply by email or WhatsApp, usually within hours, and nothing is confirmed until it is confirmed in writing with a deposit taken.
