What we collect

When you download a template

Nothing. Downloads require no account, no email address and no form. We do not know who you are and we do not try to find out.

When you use a form

The contact and quote forms collect the fields you fill in: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. Your IP address and browser are recorded alongside it, which is what lets us tell a real enquiry from an automated one.

Every submission is written to a file on our own server before we are emailed about it, so that a mail failure never loses your message. That file is not reachable from the web. The information is used to reply to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. It is not added to a mailing list and it is not shared with anyone.

Automatically

The web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser, page requested and the time. These are used to find faults and to spot abuse. They are deleted once they are no longer useful for that.

Analytics

There are none. This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. Nobody is building a profile of you here.

Cookies

One, and only on two pages. Opening the contact page or the quote page sets a session cookie. It holds no personal data. Its only job is to check that a form submission came from a real visit to this site and not from a script, which is how the spam filtering works. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Every other page on this site sets no cookie at all, which is why there is no cookie banner to click away.

Fonts

The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. That means your browser asks Google for the font files, and Google can see your IP address when it does. Nothing else is sent, and no cookie is set by it. It is worth knowing about because it is the one request this site makes to a company that is not us.

Legal basis

Where GDPR applies, form submissions are processed on the basis of legitimate interest, which here means answering an enquiry you started. There is no analytics processing to need your consent for.

Who we share it with

Nobody, apart from the two suppliers it takes to run a website: the company that hosts the site and the company that carries the email. Neither is given the information for their own use. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to advertisers.

How long we keep it

An enquiry is kept while it is still useful: for a client, that is as long as we are working together and long enough afterwards to answer a question about the work. For an enquiry that came to nothing, it is deleted once it is clear there is nothing to reply to. Server logs go sooner, because they stop being useful within days.

You do not have to wait for any of that. Ask us to delete what we hold about you and we will, and we will tell you when it is done.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. Email hello@7uptheme.com and we will action it. There is no charge and no form to fill in.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
