Events and conferences
AI Event List
A worldwide directory of AI conferences, built on one event record that surfaces eight ways: by topic, type, region, country, city, organizer, calendar month and archive year.
What we do
The client came to us wanting one place where the AI world could find what is happening anywhere in it, built to a design of its own rather than dropped into a directory template, and open enough that the community could add to it. We developed AI Event List to that brief, and the architecture is where most of the work went. Everything rests on one event record, and that single record surfaces eight ways without being duplicated: through a filterable index, a month grid calendar, eight AI topic pages, seven event type pages, six region pages, thirty six country pages with cities beneath them, fifty six organizer profiles, and a dated archive. Filing is many to many, so an event in Singapore about generative AI run by NVIDIA appears on all three of those pages while keeping one address of its own.
The sharing side is the part the brief cared most about. Anyone can submit an event free and without an account, the team reviews each submission before it goes live, and every event page carries share links, a copyable embed snippet, a QR code and add to calendar files, so a listing travels beyond the site rather than sitting on it. Nobody pays to list an event and nobody pays to find one, which is what makes a directory useful to the community it serves rather than only to whoever owns it. The work covered the design, the build and the site architecture.
Short description
AI Event List is an independent directory of artificial intelligence events held worldwide: conferences, summits, workshops, meetups, hackathons, webinars and expos. Each event has its own page carrying the dates and local times, the venue with a full address and map links, the attendance format, the AI topics, the organizer, a price indication and a link to the organizer’s official registration site. The site currently lists 48 upcoming and ongoing events and keeps 115 past ones in the archive, across 36 countries. A short editorial section publishes guides about attending AI events.
Ways in
Nine entry points, all reading the same event record. A visitor who knows the subject, the place, the month or the organizer can start from any of them.
- Explore events The master index, with keyword, country, topic, type, city, format, price, date and organizer filters.
- Event Calendar Month grid and agenda views, each event shown in its own local timezone.
- AI Topics The eight subject categories, each with its upcoming and past counts.
- Event types Conference, summit, workshop, meetup, hackathon, webinar and expo.
- Locations Six world regions opening into 36 countries and the cities beneath them.
- Organizers Fifty six organizer profiles, each holding that organizer’s run of events.
- Past events The archive, 115 events deep, with a page per year.
- Blog AI Event List Journal: guides on getting value out of an AI conference.
- List your event free The submission form. No account needed, and every entry is reviewed before publishing.

What an event page carries
The record is the same every time, which is what lets one page serve a reader deciding whether to go and another who has already booked.
- Dates, times and format Start and end in the event’s own timezone, and whether it is in person, online or hybrid.
- Venue and map Full address with Google Maps and Waze links.
- Topics and organizer Both linked, so one event leads to everything related to it.
- Official site and registration Straight out to the organizer, who sells the tickets.
- Add to calendar Google Calendar, iCalendar, Outlook 365 and Outlook Live.
- Share, embed and QR Share links, a copyable embed snippet and a scan code for the room.
- Save as PDF For anyone taking the details into an approval conversation.
- More events nearby Other listings in the same country, below the fold.
Full description
The decision that shapes an event directory is whether a category is a folder or a filter. Make it a folder and every event has to live inside exactly one subject, one country, one type, which breaks the first time a conference in Singapore is about three topics at once and is run by an organizer who holds five more. Make it a filter and the event keeps one canonical page while appearing on every topic, region, country, type and organizer page it genuinely belongs to. This site takes the second route throughout, which is why a single record can carry nine ways in without a line of it being written twice.
The second decision is what happens after an event ends. The easy answer is to delete it, and it is the wrong one: a conference page accumulates links and search history for years, and a reader looking up what happened at last year’s edition is a reader who will book this year’s. So nothing is removed. A finished event keeps its address, moves into a dated archive, and sits alongside the organizer’s other editions, which turns a listing that was useful for one week into a record that stays useful.
