Northwind

Northwind is written for a company that plans and runs events, and the shape suits anyone who quotes on a job rather than selling off a shelf: a studio, a caterer, a production company, a wedding planner. The form is the point. It asks for the date, the headcount, the venue and the budget range, because those four answers are what turn a first reply into a useful one. The tabs in the middle of the page are radio buttons and CSS with no script behind them, so they work even with JavaScript switched off.

Notes before you start

The tabs are radio buttons and CSS, so they work with scripting off and the arrow keys move between them
An email address is required, a phone number is not, which suits a business that sends written proposals
The brief is written to a CSV before any email is attempted, so an email problem never loses an enquiry
Honeypot, a speed check and an hourly rate limit
Serif body copy against a sans-serif for headings, and two golds so the accent reads on both light and dark
